Sustainable Agriculture & Scientific Innovation

Helping Haiti flourish through plant science.

Ayiti Fleri!

FleriLab is working toward laboratories, greenhouses, and educational programs that put plant science in service of Haiti's soil, crops, and communities.

Our Mission

Rooted in Haiti's land and people

FleriLab is working to bring plant science home to Haiti — building the laboratories and greenhouses needed to study and strengthen the country's agricultural systems from the ground up.

Soil quality, crop resilience, and food security are the challenges at the center of this work. FleriLab's approach pairs scientific research with the knowledge already held by Haitian farmers and communities, aiming to build solutions that fit the land they're grown on.

This is long-term work. FleriLab is in the process of establishing the infrastructure and partnerships this mission requires, with the goal of growing not only crops, but opportunity and self-reliance for generations to come.

Our Approach

Science, growing environments, and shared knowledge

FleriLab's approach connects three things: rigorous plant science, growing environments built for Haiti's climate, and knowledge that moves freely between researchers and the communities they serve.

01

Plant Science

Studying soil health and crop resilience to understand what Haitian agriculture needs to withstand pressure and produce reliably, season after season.

02

Growing Environments

Working toward laboratories and greenhouses designed for Haiti's environment, built to support research and cultivation adapted to local conditions rather than imported assumptions.

03

Shared Knowledge

Connecting research back to the communities it serves, so that findings translate into practical, usable ground-level solutions rather than staying confined to a lab.

Meet the Founder

Dashiell Desravines

Founder, FleriLab

Dashiell Desravines founded FleriLab out of a passion for plant science and its potential to change lives in Haiti. His academic background in biology grounds FleriLab's scientific approach, while his personal connection to Haiti shapes its mission: to advance plant science, promote food security, and support growth both in the fields and within the people the organization serves.

FleriLab is Dashiell's effort to turn that connection into lasting, practical work — starting with the communities of Haiti.
